As one of the most influential fashion designers from Japan, Yohji Yamamoto’s 2016 Spring/Summer collection of sunglasses combines its classic round eyewear with a new injection of artistic mastery. With its unmistakable hand written logo as the centerpiece, the eyewear is inspired by the single, continuous, and fluid motion of pencil to paper. This sinuous inspired design, never leaves the page and the round eye shapes are punch out where the frames are deconstructed, and reconstructed. The result of this artistic innovation gives the sunglasses an “Avant Garde” design that is ingrained in all of Yamamoto’s works.
Best of all, the eyewear is handmade in France, with the highest quality and utilizes both bespoke Italian acetate, and matte mirrored lenses. As a bonus, the sunglasses come in gold, something different. As Yohji Yamamoto describes.
If I continue with only black, people get tired. Gold is to wake up
